Georgetown Community Theatre is an organization that continues to grow because of your support. The GCT 2011-2012 season includes 7 productions and a touring ensemble performing up to 5 additional shows! We are very excited and pleased to offer these productions to Georgetown and our surrounding communities. GCT would not be where it is today without the continued support of our theatre friends and family like you!
Georgetown Community Theatre is a federally, 501(c)3, recognized charitable organization. GCT is ran entirely by volunteers like yourselves. It is our volunteers that make all these shows possible and we couldn't do it without you! There are several ways to make donations to GCT in order to help us continue to grow and produce the shows you love. 1. VOLUNTEER this is the FUN one!
There are many ways to volunteer with our organization besides the obvious - performing!
GCT also needs folks that are interested in directing, musical direction, instrumental accompaniment, choreography, backstage, technical work, set design and building, costuming, hair and make up design, advertising and publishing, communications, ushering, assisting the box office and house management, and the big one - fundraising. Just send GCT an email at georgetowncommunitytheatre@gmail.com, let the Board of Directors know what you are interested in assisting with and we'll get you involved with a show.
2. MONETARY DONATION
All donations made to GCT are deductible. There is no gift too small when it comes to Community Theatre. Our operating budget and budgets for all our shows are dependent upon ticket sales. We win some, we lose some. Have you heard that GCT has been growing? Have you heard about the community's desire for a theatre home? Have you been involved with a production and know the trials of set building in one place, rehearsing in another, moving in to perform at yet another, then gathering it all to go back to storage at various locations? Well then, you know our NEED for a community Theatre home. Please consider any contribution you may be able to make to our annual fund so we may make this dream a reality some day in the near future.
